
Grady college of journalism and mass
Grady College scholarships are awarded each academic year through an application process that opens at the end of each fall semester. Scholarship recipients will be contacted in early May, and scholarship funds are awarded in August and applied to the fall semester. Grady scholarships are made possible through generous contributions to the College that recognize and encourage academic and professional achievement.
Faculty and graduate students at Grady College are recognized for their innovative research, critical thinking and thought leadership. From global communication studies and press freedom, to communicating with virtual reality, eye tracking and social media listening, we are leaders in pursuing effective messages and stories that have a broad impact.

School of public and international affairs
The School of Public and International Affairs reviews applications for student support from private funding sources two times each academic year. Eligible students are encouraged to apply for funding for study away programs, internships, conference travel, research supplies/equipment, and general support. Applications will be accepted each spring in February-March and each fall in September-October.
The SRC conducts both live-interviewer surveys, as well as online polls. In addition to conducting its own statewide polls relating to Georgia politics and policy, the SRC also performs contract work for academic researchers, corporations, and non-profits. In conjunction with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government it performs work for state and local government entities. The SRC does not conduct surveys for political parties, candidates, political action committees, or campaigns.
Human rights research, education, and engagement have been central to the work done at the Center for the Study of Global Issues (GLOBIS) since its founding, and GLOBIS’ current work proudly continues and builds on that tradition. GLOBIS human rights projects make human rights data available and accessible to stakeholders all over the globe, produce cutting-edge research on the causes and consequences of human rights practices, and train the next generation of human rights-focused scholars, policymakers, and practitioners.
The Center for International Trade & Security (CITS) was established in 1987 with the support of former U.S. Secretary of State Dean Rusk. Since its founding, CITS has developed a network of academic researchers, public officials, and industry representatives with expertise in critical areas of national and international security. CITS advises policymakers and trains personnel around the world on nonproliferation, energy security and human security, while serving as a hub of research, teaching, and outreach on new and emerging security topics.
School of social work
The University of Georgia’s School of Social Work is proud to offer a wide range of scholarship opportunities to students. All BSW, MSW, and MSW dual degree students are eligible to apply, however preference will be given to those who do not have any other current University-sponsored scholarships or assistantships.
Faculty and students advance the field of social work with strong, methodologically rigorous research informed by our commitment to social justice. Our interests run from the individual to the systems level, with a firm focus on research that makes a difference in the world.

Terry college of business
The Terry College of Business offers college-wide and major-specific scholarships.
The mission of the James C. Bonbright Center for the Study of Regulation, housed in the John Munro Godfrey, Sr. Department of Economics at the Terry College of Business, is to promote the economic analysis of regulation and policy, emphasizing the role markets play in coordinating economic activity. The center fulfills its mission by providing resources for faculty and graduate student research and travel, graduate student assistantships, public lectures, conferences, and undergraduate internships, among other activities.​
Terry faculty and doctoral students aspire to conduct and publish academic research that informs how scholars and business practitioners think about business issues. They are among the most productive researchers in the country, according to national research rankings, dedicated to promoting scholarship and tackling issues of importance to the business community.
Franklin College of arts and sciences
All scholarships are for undergraduate students only EXCEPT for the Chelsea Montgomery Machemehl Scholarship and the Jo Ann Terry Walker Scholarship.
